Mr. Schlee serves as an expert in intellectual property rights

Drawing on over three decades of expertise in the legal field, Mr. Schlee specializes in intellectual property rights. He initially pursued an education at the Technical University of Darmstadt in Germany, where he obtained the equivalent of a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1987. Additionally, he has been licensed to practice as a German, European and United States patent attorney, as well as an attorney-at-law in the state of California. As a commitment to his field, Mr. Schlee has been active with several industry-related organizations, including having served on the Executive Committee of the International Law Section State Bar of California and as a former president of the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association (LAIPLA). Other organizations include the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) and the German American Business Association (GABA), among others.
Mr. Schlee began his career as an associate at the law firm of Viering, Jentschura and Partners in Germany between 1988 and 1993, where he later excelled as a partner from 1994 to 2006, while concurrently founding and serving as a managing partner at its subsidiary company in Los Angeles, California, from 2000 until 2006. Since 2006, he has built a prolific career as the founder and owner of Schlee Intellectual Property International PC. In this capacity, Mr. Schlee demonstrates proficiency in intellectual property rights, including domestic and foreign patents, trademark and industrial designs, international patent applications and utility models.
Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Schlee is most proud to have been certified to practice patent law in two jurisdictions. He attributes much of his success to his hard work and dedication, as well as his engagement in nonprofit organizations. He had been a frequent overseas business traveler since early on in his career, especially between Germany and the United States, serving the legal community with respect to the highly international legal field of Intellectual Property. Looking toward the future, Mr. Schlee aspires to continue providing superlative service to his clients and hopes to continue expanding the scope of his practice.
